Eskuche Control
|
Small, lightweight, designed, inexpensive all reasons to check out these decent sounding headphones.
For the last six months I've been stopping at the Apple store to drool over a pair of Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones. They cost $300 so they won't get their own post on this site and unless I find a way to print money I won't be buying them anytime soon.
Eskuche Controls have many of the same features and cost a lot less. Here are the important things they have in common.
-
Small and Portable
They look like retro cans but they are relatively tiny.
-
Fabric Tangle Free Cord
If you've had to untangle thing plastic coated wires you'll understand why this is so important.
-
iPhone Mic & Control
It sounds great but has fewer buttons
-
Replaceable Cable
Some how it always ends up under the wheels of my chair
-
Sound Good
There are better but not for less
- Look Good
As for build quality and durability the B&W headphones win hands down. They also fold up smaller and would be easier to fly and commute with.
At volume levels right before my pain threshold, which is as loud as the MacBook's headphone amp can go, there is some distortion that I didn't notice with the un-recomendable Skull Candy Hesh cans that I had fail on me a few months ago.
All in all for 250 dollars less the P5s the Eskuche phones sound like a good deal.
