gps4cam may be the best iPhone app I've ever purchased. It is the missing link between your GPS enabled phone and your location unaware camera.
Using photos of QR codes on your phone screen to pass location data to an app on your computer that reads your SD card and tags raw or jpg images is absolutely brilliant. Allowing the app to optionally overwrite incorrect time stamps on cameras you forgot to double check before your trip is perfection.
It can even send gpx files via email for those of you who want to use it for other types of track logging or pro applications like aperture.
Yes you can run it in the background behind a navigation app.
It has customizable switchable settings so you can choose between accuracy and battery life wile continuing to log data.
I highly recommend it for anyone who likes taking photos with something other than an iPhone.
Sadly their UI falls a little short. It's not ugly by any means but it certainly could be easier to use. It's targeted at a pro audience who knows what they're doing and for them it's perfect. If the developers spent some money on a UX guy they could charge 10 dollars for this app and get nothing by 5 star reviews.
It might not be right for granny just yet but as it stands it's a steal for 3 bucks!
