Bamboo iPhone 4 Case
|
It was a sad day when I packed my BookArc away. It is beautiful, functional, sturdy, aluminum and expensive just like the MacBooks it housed throughout the previous eighteen months. It protected them from scratches and created much needed space but I was building a new desk, one with plenty of surface area to take advantage of dual displays.
As I slipped it back into it's box one of the BookArc's little rubber feet fell off. It had been doing that since the first month when I'd made the mistake of pulling the stand towards me and the rubber decided it wanted to grip to the desk more than the glue wanted to stick to the aluminum. I pushed the foot back in place and closed the lid on the well designed packaging.
I truly did feel sad about getting rid of such a perfectly simple object so I kept it on my shelf of unused technology. It wasn't until creating this post that I realized how great that decision was. Using the BookArc for things other than a MacBook, completely obvious and perfect. My keyboard, an iPad, and a Wacom are being stacked in untidy piles on a shelf under my desk but one of or two of them are going to find a new home in the now revitalized Twelve South BookArc.
